Osmington Bay

Day 1 - Settling In 🌧

We have arrived! We spent the afternoon at ‘Little Wembley’, where the children made sandcastles, sand sculptures and played some games. With some brief showers around, the children have settled really well into their rooms as you can see by the 25 smiley faces in the photo!

Tonight, we are flag hunting around the centre before retiring for the night. Stay tuned for updates on giant paddle boarding, giant swing and aeroball tomorrow! 🏄🏼‍♂️🏄🏻‍♀️🌊

Day 2 - Wet, Wet, Wet and then some Sun ☀️

After our first night at Osmington, we headed down to Portland Harbour, where we quickly learnt that wet weather + wet activity = very wet children! Once the children had fought their way into a wet suit, they had a great time paddle boarding around the Portland Harbour 🏄🏼‍♀️🏄🏼‍♂️

This afternoon, we’ve all tried our hand at Aeroball (a combination of trampolining and netball) and all had a go on the Giant Swing.

We are extremely proud that every child had a go; whether it be half way, three quarters or all the way to the top! 👊🏼

We are fully underway with tonight’s evening activity and plans are in motion to get the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 game shown for those that want it tomorrow evening… if we can stay awake… ⚽️😴

Tomorrow, we are back down to Portland Harbour for raft building, before spending the afternoon climbing the climbing wall 🧗🏻‍♂️🧗🏼‍♀️ and firing arrows in Archery 🏹  and don’t say it too loudly but the forecast looks a lot more promising! ☀️🤞🏼

Day 3 - Here Comes The Sun ☀️🎶

Once again, our day started down at Portland Harbour for a spot of raft building. This time… no wetsuits and no rain! Each group assembled their raft and then tested it in the water before playing a few games in the water to finish.

After lunch, all groups had climbing and archery; everyone gave everything a go and some of the children even had a go at some PGL climbing challenges (1 handed or 1 footed climbs).

As the evening draws to an end, some of the children are gearing up to play games at the chalets while the others go and cheer on The Three Lions 🦁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿⚽️

Our last full day at PGL tomorrow contains a game of Laser Tag, a Beach Walk, Jacob’s Ladder and Street Surfing before finishing the day with the Disco… (expect a slightly later post tomorrow). We can’t wait - keep your fingers crossed for more sun like today!

Day 4 - Our last full day!

This morning, we took a walk up the hill with a beautiful, sunny view before a game of laser tag and a walk on the beach.

This afternoon, we had a go at Street Surfing and Jacob’s Ladder (pictures to follow as the iPads are not playing ball…)

We finished our final night with the Disco and after a lot of singing and dancing to some classic disco tunes, we have settled in for the night before heading home tomorrow… 😴
