500 WORDS 2023

At Whiteparish, we promote creative and imaginative writing for all learners. Through creating varied opportunities for learners to write within and outside of the classroom. We encourage all learners to join the 500 WORD 2023 writing challenge in association with BBC and presented by BBC Breakfast. Learners will have the opportunity to write a creative story of their own but have the challenge of staying under 500 words. All ages are welcome with the first category being 5-7 years and the second being 8-11 years.  The website is full of inspiration and has more details. All learners will have the opportunity to win gold, silver or bronze in their age categories in which they can win wonderful prizes including having their story published with well known Authors and Illustrators to help an bring their stories to life. The grand final will take place with the top 50 finalists at Buckingham Palace.
