Look at our lovely artwork in Kites' Class.
We have been thinking about healthy lifestyles and what makes humans thrive throughout our Enquiry 'What is the difference between surviving and being healthy?' To launch the enquiry we did a still life drawing session of a bowl of fruit.
We looked at the textures and shapes of the different fruits and talked about how we can use sketching pencils to try and create depth to a picture and also show the dimensions of the fruit. The children loved this task and also enjoyed listening to Vivaldi- The Four Seasons, recomposed by Max Richter. Well done Kites, you are marvellous artists!
Kites' class home learning projects ...
What a wonderful selection of creative and informative home learning projects this term! We have been bowled over by the time and effort that has clearly been invested into creating these masterpieces! We have loved sharing them (and eating some of them)!
It really shows the impact the enquiry has had on all the children in kites this term and how much learning has taken place. We have scientific terminology being used to describe how fossils are formed, beautifully composed poetry and correctly labelled volcanoes that even erupt! Well done Kites, It’s wonderful to see you taking such pride in your work and a lovely opportunity for families to spend invaluable time together getting creative and having fun!
