The results in 2022, mark a return to Statutory Assessment following the disruption caused by COVID-19 school closures. Given the disrupted nature of learning that pupils have undergone over the past 2 years, the results this year are of particular interest in beginning to understand the impact of lost learning. The results also help us to understand the impact of Catch-Up provision we have put in place this year and help us to plan targeted support for the next academic year.
At Whiteparish we have been focused on undertsanding pupil's starting points and putting in place provision to help fill any gaps in learning, this provision has been support through the use of additional Catch-up funding. From a cohort of 20 pupils 100% achieved the expected standard in Reading. This is 25.5% higher than the national average of 74.5%. Progress is measured against pupil outcomes at the end of Key Stage 1 (year 2). The cohort had a progress value of +4.9, which is 4.8 higher than the national cohort. This progress measure puts Whiteparish in the top 4% of schools nationally.
