  • Whiteparish PTA never stop!

    Tue 25 Jun 2024

I am sure that you all enjoyed the superb Whiteparish village fete on Saturday 15th June. The children certainly enjoyed arriving on the beach themed decorated trailer. It was a great success despite the best efforts of the British weather to derail it. I am sure that it will have turned out to be a great fundraiser. Working with the school, the PTA have lots of exciting plans to invest in the school. Building on the success of helping the school purchase a class set of iPads, they have allocated funds to match fund the purchase of some new class laptops which will support learning across all curriculum areas. Plans are also afoot to purchase new storage sheds for the playground.

  • Whiteparish Band kick off the festival season

    Sat 08 Jun 2024

Forget about Glastonbury, the Whiteparish band kicked off the festival season with a performance at the George and Dragon in Salisbury on Saturday 8th June. Under the watchful eye of music teacher Gregory Cook the band wooed audiences with their renditions of original compositions; The Whiteparish Band Song and Puppy Dog Song written by band member Lilly. What a fantatsic opportunity to be able to play in front of a live audience. A true example of Whiteparish pupils 'shining their light into the world.'

  • PTA part funded IPads proving a real hit to enhancing learning experiences

    Mon 03 Jun 2024

The hard work of the Whiteparish PTA is making a real difference to the learning opportunities that we are able to offer at Whiteparish. Through their fundraising activities the school has been able to benefit from the PTA match funding the purchase of a class set of iPads, which can be used across the school. These iPads have arrived in school and are already getting plenty of use by the children for: research, revision quizzing, taking photos of learning and aiding in publishing writing. As a school we look forward to getting plenty more use out of the iPads and using them to their full potential in class. A huge thank you to the PTA for providing the children with this fantastic technology, and of course a huge thank you to all of you who support the PTA by volunteering and engaging with the events they put on. Your efforts really do make a difference. Next stop the Whiteparish Summer Fete on June 15th - we are looking forward to seeing you all there!
