Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Friday the school held a special Remembrance Worship. The meaning of Remembrance Day was discussed, the children listened to poems from World War 1, learned about relatives from the school community who have served or are serving in the armed forces, heard the Last Post being played and took part in a minute's silence. Reverend Jane lead the school in prayer and a blessing.
On the rather wet morning of Wednesday 8th November, family members were invited into school at the start of the day to share a book with their children and to support the school in promoting a love of reading, and what a successful start to the day it was! So many family members attended that the classrooms were full to the brim and we had to make use of extra spaces in the library to make sure that everyone could hear their children read. It makes a real difference to the children to be heard reading and to see the connection between home and school. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this.
