  • PTA Mother's Day Flowers

    Thu 16 Mar 2023

The PTA put on a special event, so that the children were able to make flower bouquets to take home to say thank you to their mum's for all they do. It is always a lovely event where the children are able to say thank you and reflect on the support they are given at home. A huge thank you to the members of the PTA that make this event possible. Macey (yr3) and Jacob (yr4) from Kites class explain more ...

On Tuesday 14th March we made tulip bouquets for Mother's Day. We all chose 7 different colours even though there were 8 colours to choose from, then we wrote a card. Then we got pink and brown paper to wrap them in. Our mums loved them when we took them home at the end of the day. We hope that the bouquets last until Sunday (Mother's Day), but we will enjoy them all week!

  • Medal Success for Whiteparish Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Team

    Thu 16 Mar 2023

Samuel (Yr4) and Izzy (yr3) report on the success of the Whiteparish Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Team ...

On Tuesday 14th March the year 3/4 tag rugby team entered a rugby tournament. The weather was freezing cold. There were 7 of us in the team and we came second overall, this is how we did it. We had Sam, Izzy, Faye, Jakey, Henry, Finley and Charlie. There were 9 teams in the tournament altogether.

First we warmed up by playing bulldog. Then we faced Winterslow, they ended up coming first. We lost to Winterslow, they gave us 3 cheers and we all shook hands. We won our third game, against Pembrook Park, and then went on to win all of our remaining games, except for 1 draw.

In the presentation every team got certificates for taking part. We were shocked when we found out we had finished second overall and got our silver medals!

  • Collective Worship Group lead Worship

    Tue 14 Mar 2023

On Tuesday 14th March the Collective Worship Group delivered a collective worship portraying the story of Moses and linking the story to the school values of Perseverence, Hope and Kindness. The group followed up their retelling of the story with questions to the whole school.

The collective worship group exists to show that worship is something which is not just delivered by adults with members of the group saying:

"It makes it easier for other children to understand about God."

"It shows the Collective Worship's group belief in God."

"It shows the children that we can all learn from the stories."

"It shows that Collective Worship is fun."

Through delivering the whole school worship the children are certainly "Shining their Light."
